           Appointment of Chief Operating Officer and Board Director


The Board of e-district.net plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew
Jason Fearon as Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Board, with effect
from January 28, 2002.



Andrew was formerly Director of Business and Legal Affairs and a member of the
Board of Static 2358 Limited. He played a central role in the negotiation of
Static's recent sale to Open TV. Andrew's responsibilities at Static included
management of strategic and business relations with third parties, and, in
particular, commercial negotiations for the distribution of Static's games and
entertainment channel, PlayJam, on Sky, ntl, and Telewest. Following the sale of
Static to Open TV, Andrew took the position of Head of iTV and Broadband at
Netdecisions.



Andrew, 33, qualified as a corporate lawyer in 1994. Prior to joining Static, he
worked as a solicitor at lawyers Berwin Leighton and Walker Morris.
