Dateline, with more than 30,000 offline subscribers, selected YooMedia as its exclusive partner to develop its brand in digital television last year. YooMedia yesterday signed an agreement with BSkyB to launch the Dateline service on Sky's interactive service, Sky Active, available to 6.8 million satellite subscribers. Similar services are also scheduled for launch on Britain's two cable television networks, ntl and Telewest. Andrew Fearon, chief operating officer of YooMedia, said: 'Bringing together the country's biggest dating brand with Britain's biggest digital TV platform is a match made in heaven! The launch of Dateline on Sky will bring Dateline's active user base of over 30,000 singles in 6.8 million homes.' The new Dateline iTV service will act as a gateway into the full database of Dateline members. This gives Sky customers the widest possible range of potential partners to browse. It will be available on a subscription basis.
