Appointment of independent non-executive Director

The Board of Directors of the Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Hamish Baillie as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 November 2022.

Hamish joined Ruffer LLP in 2002, becoming a partner in 2006 and has been a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment since 2007. As Investment Director, Hamish founded and managed the Edinburgh office of Ruffer with responsibility for portfolio management and investor communications. He was also a member of the firm's UK Wealth Leadership Team. In 2009, Hamish added to his responsibilities becoming a Director of Ruffer (Channel Islands) Limited. Between 2011 and 2022 Hamish was the Lead Manager of Ruffer Investment Company Ltd.

Hamish has retired from Ruffer (including his responsibilities with Ruffer Investment Company Ltd) with effect from 3 October 2022.

The Chairman of the Company, Russell Napier, commented 'We are delighted that Hamish is joining the Board of Mid Wynd. Hamish's many years of experience in constructing and managing investment portfolios means that he brings a wealth of investment experience to the Board. Hamish's appointment brings a rare combination of relative youth, experience and time to devote to the Company's affairs which very few candidates combine.'
