                             Director's resignation


Kevin Mahoney, a non-executive director of Metals Exploration PLC (the 'Company
'), has notified the Company of his resignation from the Board of the Company
with effect from today for personal reasons.



Kevin Mahoney has been a director of the Company since September 2004.  The
Company is actively seeking a replacement for Mr Mahoney and will make a further
announcement in due course as appropriate.



Commenting on Kevin Mahoney's resignation, Steven Smith, Chairman of the
Company, said:

him every success in the future.'
