THE MERCANTILE INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

THIRD QUARTERLY DIVIDEND

The Directors have declared that a third quarterly dividend of 8.00p per share for the year ended 31^st January 2015 will be paid on 2^nd February 2015 to shareholders on the register as at the close of business on 30^th December 2014.  The ex-dividend date will be 29^th December 2014.

The Election Date for the Dividend Re-Investment Plan will be 12^th January 2015.
