Melrose PLC 10 July 2006 10 July 2006 Melrose PLC Appointment of Director The Board of Melrose PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr John Grant as Non-Executive Director. Mr Grant's appointment will be effective from from 1 August 2006. Mr Grant has spent his executive career in a variety of senior international roles within the automotive industry and other engineering businesses. In 2000 Mr Grant led a successful management buy-out of four specialist engineering businesses from Ascot Plc to form Hasgo Group Ltd and Peter Stubs Ltd. Prior to that, he was Chief Executive of Ascot Plc between 1997 and 2000. Mr Grant also worked as Group Finance Director for Lucas Industries Plc (subsequently Lucas Varity Plc) between 1992 and 1996 and held a number of senior positions within Ford Motor Company in Europe and the USA. Mr Grant is Non-Executive Chairman of Hasgo Group Limited and Torotrak Plc, and Non-Executive Director of Corac Plc, MHP S.A, National Grid PLC and Royal Automobile Club Limited.
