DYNACAST ACQUISITION OF 'TECHMIRE' BUSINESS

The Board of Melrose are pleased to announce that Dynacast Canada Inc has
acquired the business of Techmire based in Montreal, Canada  from Exco
Technologies Limited for £2.5m (C$5.2m) which will be paid in cash.  Techmire
designs and manufactures multiple-slide die-casting machines for precision
components in zinc, lead and magnesium alloys.
