               PRELIMINARY RESULTS DATE / PRESENTATION/WEBCAST

PMI proposes to announce its results for the year ended 30 April 2001 on
Tuesday 24 July 2001.

On the morning of Tuesday 24 July, there will be a presentation to broker's
analysts, commencing at 09:00 a.m. and ending at approximately 10:00 a.m., at
the London Suite, Regus, CityPoint, 1 Ropemaker Street, London, EC2, which is
situated under 200 yards from Moorgate underground station.

                SITE VISIT TO GRENOBLE - TUESDAY 31 JULY 2001

In addition, PMI is organising, for institutional investors and brokers'
analysts, a site visit to its manufacturing facility at Grenoble (France) on
Tuesday 31 July 2001.
