Daniel Amar, a non-executive Director, has today resigned from the Board and Peter Berridge, another non-executive Director, will not now be standing for re-election at this afternoon's AGM. This reduces the Board to five executive and five non-executive Directors. Further Board changes, in which Vernon Sankey will be involved, will be announced in due course. Trading Update At PMI's AGM this afternoon, the following update on trading will be given: 'Almost six months of the current financial year to 30 April 2001 have elapsed and, in what is historically the stronger half of the year for PMI's traditional business, trading continues to be in line with the Board's expectations. The year to date has been an exceptional one for new product roll-outs and launches by PMI's R&D and manufacturing facility at Grenoble in South East France. Particularly notable are: * the DKS digital photo developing and printing minilab. The first machine was delivered in August and in September an OEM contract was signed with Eastman Kodak for several hundred machines. The first deliveries to Eastman Kodak will be made in November and PMI is on target to deliver to Eastman Kodak and other customers at least 500 machines by 30 April 2001. * the self-service digital photoprinting kiosk, to be operated in the USA and Canada in joint venture with SanDisk, whose first delivery is expected in December, with a targeted annual production of 2,000 machines for those markets. These two roll-outs, which will have a mildly positive effect (after launch costs) in the second half, will have a major impact in future years'.
