                             Purchase of own shares


McBride PLC ('the Company') announces that on 29 November 2005, it purchased
through Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein 200,000 of its ordinary shares at 151p
per share. The Company intends to hold these shares in treasury.


Following the purchase of these shares, McBride plc holds 294,200 ordinary
shares in treasury and has a total of 177,318,000 ordinary shares (excluding
treasury shares) in issue.
