                               Board Announcement


The Board of McBride plc, the leading supplier of Private Label Household and
Personal Care products for Europe's largest and most successful Retailers, is
pleased to announce that Robert Beveridge will join the Board as an executive
director in the capacity of Group Finance Director and Company Secretary with
effect from 10 May 2006.

Robert, aged 50, is a Chartered Accountant and was Group Finance Director of
Marlborough Stirling plc from 2002 until its acquisition in 2005 by Vertex.
Prior to that, Robert held the position of Group Finance Director of Cable and
Wireless Communications plc which followed extensive periods with both United
Biscuits plc and Mars Inc in senior financial roles.

Miles Roberts, Chief Executive, commented:

extensive financial, strategic and commercial experience which will help to
