The directors of Mattioli Woods plc (AIM: MTW.L) announce that on 29 January 2009, the Company received notification from Capita IRG Trustees Limited ('Capita') that on 16 December 2008, Capita purchased Ordinary Shares of 1 pence each ('Ordinary Shares') in the Company on behalf of certain of the Company's directors pursuant to The Mattioli Woods plc Share Incentive Plan as follows:
