On 12 July 2017, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 5,594 ordinary shares at a price of 234.5p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 9,165,485 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 94,417,717 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
