On 21 August 2017, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 11,629 ordinary shares at a price of 237.5p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 9,940,235 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 93,642,967 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
