On 14 October 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 439 ordinary shares at a price of 220.36p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,579,345 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,003,857 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
