On 17 May 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 1,000 ordinary shares at a price of 178.25p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 4,269,160 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 99,314,042 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
