On 27 October 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 5,041 ordinary shares at a price of 219.09p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,637,581 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 96,945,621 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
