On 23 September 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 45,479 ordinary shares at a price of 211.32p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,509,248 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,073,954 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
