On 9 August 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 8,100 ordinary shares at a price of 209.01p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 5,954,796 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,628,406 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
