On 8 August 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 8,990 ordinary shares at a price of 208.58p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 5,946,696 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,636,506 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
