On 19 August 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 19,643 ordinary shares at a price of 209.50p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,084,833 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,498,369 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
