On 16 September 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 85,000 ordinary shares at a price of 204.93p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 6,270,953 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 97,312,249 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
