On 13 January 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 6,081 ordinary shares at a price of 171.04p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 3,637,014 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 99,946,188 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
