On 8 January 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 7,705 ordinary shares at a price of 169.97p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 3,594,793 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 99,988,409 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
