On 24 March 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 57,443 ordinary shares at a price of 180.25p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 3,685,624 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 99,897,578 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
