On 23 March 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 20,296 ordinary shares at a price of 181.46p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 3,628,181 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 99,955,021 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
