On 27 January 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 100,005 ordinary shares at a price of 169.89p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 2,359,219 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 101,223,983 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
