On 29 December 2015, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 50,000 ordinary shares at a price of 179.49p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 3,557,088 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 100,026,114 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
