On 25 January 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 54,515 ordinary shares at a price of 169.74p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 2,259,214 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 101,323,988 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
