On 22 January 2016, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 17,180 ordinary shares at a price of 169.5p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 2,204,699 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 101,378,503 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
