On 21 July 2014 Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc bought back 40,000 ordinary shares at a price of 164.75p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 1,500,675 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 102,992,496 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
