Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc, on 18 June 2012, bought back 15,000 ordinary shares at a price of 139.0p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc holds 75,000 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 104,478,171 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
