Martin  Currie  Portfolio Investment Trust plc, on 26 April  2010,  bought  back
32,000  ordinary  shares  at  a  price  of 125.1192p  per  share  for  immediate
cancellation.

Following this purchase 113,780,288 ordinary shares remain in issue.
