Listing Rule 9.6.11(2) - Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc ("the Company") announces that, with effect from the conclusion of the Company's annual general meeting held on 6 June 2017, David Kidd has retired as a Director and Senior Independent Director of the Company.

The Board has elected that Mike Balfour, who has served on the Board for seven years, be appointed as the new Senior Independent Director of the Company.

Neil Gaskell, Chairman, said "I would like to take this opportunity to thank David for his service to the Company over the past 11 years during which the Company has grown and delivered strong returns for shareholders."
