Marston's PLC announces that it has purchased the following number of its
ordinary shares of 7.375p each on the London Stock Exchange via UBS Investment
Bank.

Number of ordinary shares purchased:        810,000
Highest price paid per share:               444.125p
Lowest price paid per share:                442.00p
Volume weighted average price per share:    443.6574p

Marston's PLC intend to hold these shares as treasury shares.  Following the
above purchase, Marston's PLC holds 9,702,612 ordinary shares as treasury
shares and has 302,058,980 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
