Marsh & McLennan Co Inc 20 December 1999 MMC NAMES SANDRA WIJNBERG SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER ================================================= NEW YORK, NEW YORK, December 20, 1999 - Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC) announced today that Sandra S. Wijnberg will join the company as senior vice president and chief financial officer in January 2000. Ms. Wijnberg succeeds Frank J. Borelli who will retire from the company next September when he turns 65, which is customary for MMC senior executives. Ms. Wijnberg will report to J. W. Greenberg, president and chief executive officer of MMC. During the transition period, Mr. Borelli, who joined MMC in 1984, will work with Mr. Greenberg on business and financial activities and with MMC's operating companies in client development. Ms. Wijnberg, 43, has been senior vice president and treasurer of Tricon Global Restaurants, Inc. since the $9 billion company was spun off from PepsiCo in 1997. Most recently she had the additional responsibilities of interim chief financial officer. Prior to that, Ms. Wijnberg spent three years with PepsiCo, last serving as senior vice president and chief financial officer of its KFC Corporation division. Before joining PepsiCo, she spent nine years in investment banking at Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated. Ms. Wijnberg holds a B.A. in English literature from University of California, Los Angeles. She earned an MBA, from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. Mr. Greenberg said, 'We are pleased to welcome Sandra Wijnberg to MMC's senior management team.
