Inc. today declared its quarterly dividend on the Company's common stock of 
fifty-three cents ($.53) per share, payable November 15, 2001 to stockholders 
of record on October 15, 2001.

In addition, please be advised that effective today, Mr. Oscar Fanjul was 
elected to the Board of Directors of Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc.
