The Board of Manchester & London Investment Trust plc confirm their intention
that the Company, with effect from 1st August 2001, (the first day of the
Company's accounting period), will meet the requirements of Section 842 of the
Income & Corporation Tax Act 1988 for the year to 31st July 2002, and
accordingly the Company should reattain Investment Trust status for the current
accounting period.
