Man Group Presentation to Analysts and Investors

Man Group plc ('the Group'), the international hedge fund manager and futures
broker, is today hosting a presentation by senior management for analysts and
investors to provide further detail on the Group's businesses.

At today's presentation Harvey McGrath, Chairman of Man Group plc, will make
the following comments:

'Following last week's tragic events in New York, we are relieved to confirm
that all of the Group's staff are safe. Our heartfelt thoughts and sympathies
are with all those who have lost family members, friends or colleagues as a
result of these attacks.

Thanks to the unstinting efforts of large numbers of the Group's staff, our
New York Brokerage operations, which were based in the World Financial Centre,
were rapidly able to operate their disaster recovery process, providing order
execution and processing capabilities from the recovery site in New York or
via our Chicago, London, Singapore or Australian offices.  Accordingly there
has been no material disruption to customer volumes and we have continued to
see high levels of activity throughout the year to date.

Our asset management business, which is based in Chicago, London and
Switzerland, suffered no operational disruptions as a result of last week's
events. Funds under management have continued to grow strongly, and now stand
at over $8.5bn (£5.8bn), up from $6.7bn at 31 March 2001.  Investment
performance by the AHL product range has been strongly positive during the
period since our July trading statement with most AHL and composite funds
currently standing at or above incentive fee highs. Glenwood and our other
managers are all functioning normally and we are seeing no unusual movements
across their portfolios. Recent performance has underpinned good client demand
for our range of alternative investment products.

In summary the Board is very confident of the outlook for the year.'
