Additional Information:
In connection with the above purchase, Mr Clarke has, on the 23rd June been
awarded 81,065 matching shares under the Group's Performance Share Plan,
subject to certain performance criteria set out in the Plan Rules.

In addition, Mr Clarke already holds awards in respect of 222,362 matching
shares and 157,807 shares under the Performance Share Plan.  He also holds
matching awards over 97,641 shares which were granted under the Group's
Coinvestment Plan prior to his appointment as a director.

Furthermore, the E D & F Man Group 1990 Employee Trust ('the Employee Trust')
holds 2,926,908 ordinary shares and has a security interest over 1,322,086
shares.  Executive Directors of the Company are deemed to be interested in
shares held by the Employee Trust and shares over which the Employee Trust
holds a security interest.
