Man Group plc

Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange and the UK Listing
Authority for a Block Listing of 246,510 ordinary shares of 18 US cents each of
Man Group plc to be admitted to the Official List.

The shares to be issued are in respect of the:

        Man Group Executive Share Option Scheme 2001 (243,374 shares)

        Man Group plc United States Employee Stock Purchase Plan (3,136 shares)

The shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing issued
ordinary share capital of the Company.

The number of shares the subject of this application represents the unallotted
balance of ordinary shares of 10p each originally admitted to the Official List
under a Block Listing on 15 June 2004. The application is being made in
anticipation of the proposed redenomination of the issuer's share capital into
ordinary shares of 18 US cents each becoming effective.
