Directorate Changes

 

The Board is delighted to announce that with effect from 1 July 2020, Christopher Getley and Richard Killingbeck have been appointed to the Board as Non-Executive Directors. They have also been appointed as members of the Audit, Remuneration, Management Engagement and Nomination Committees from this date.

 

The Board also announces the retirement of Paul Gadd, who has served on the Board since 2009, with effect from 31 July 2020. The Board would like to thank him for his wise counsel as a member of the Board and also as Chairman of the Remuneration and Management Engagement Committees. Upon Mr Gadd's resignation, Jane Lewis will become Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and David Henderson will become Chairman of the Management Engagement Committee.

 

Mr Getley has extensive knowledge of the investment industry as a Partner and Fund Manager at Cazenove and as a Director of Morgan Grenfell Asset Management. Subsequently, he was CEO of Westhouse Securities, an institutional stockbroker. He is currently Executive Chairman of AgPlus Diagnostics Limited and Non-Executive Chairman of Masawara PLC, a Southern Africa focussed investment company.

 

Mr Killingbeck has over 35 years' experience in the financial services sector, initially as a fund manager and latterly in a number of senior management roles within the wealth management sector. He was previously Chief Executive Officer of WH Ireland Group PLC and is currently Managing Director of Harris Allday, a subsidiary of EFG Private Bank. He retired as the Non-Executive Chairman of Bankers Investment Trust PLC in 2019 and is currently a trustee of the London Stock Exchange Benevolent Fund.

 

There is no information concerning Mr Getley or Mr Killingbeck that is required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R (2) to (6) inclusive and the Board considers them to be independent on appointment in accordance with the AIC Code of Corporate Governance. Mr Getley and Mr Killingbeck currently own 33,830 and 20,000 shares in the Company respectively.
