                  Macfarlane Group plc

In  Macfarlane  Group plc's announcement of  its  interim
results  for the six months ended 30 June 1999,  released
on  7  September 1999, the Directors declared an  interim
dividend of 1.58p.  Payment of this dividend will be made
to  shareholders on 12 October 1999.  The provisional ex-
date  is  20  September 1999 and the record  date  is  24
September 1999.  There is no scrip option.
