Lookers announces the following appointments to the Board of Directors:

Following the recent purchase of APEC Limited Mr Terence Wainwright, the
Managing Director of the Group's Parts Division has today been appointed as an
Executive Director. Age 58 Terry has worked in the Independent Automotive
Aftermarket in excess of 35 years holding senior management positions with the
Quinton Hazel, GKN and Unipart Groups. In 1997 Terry was appointed Managing
Director of FPS and in 2001 led the successful, venture capital backed,
management buyout of that business. Following Lookers' acquisition of FPS in
2004 Terry continued as Managing Director. He is a Council Member and Director
of the Automotive Distribution Federation and a former Leader of Council and
President of that Trade Association.

Following the earlier resignation of Mr Richard Gaskin as alternate Director for
Neil Clyne, a non-Executive Director, Brendan Devine has today been appointed as
Neil Clyne's alternate. Brendan is Managing Director of GE Money Motor Finance
and is a Director of GE Capital Bank UK.

There are no details to be disclosed in respect of either Director, as per 16.4
(b) of the Listing Rules, paragraph 6.f.2 b to g.
