Lookers plc - Substantial Shareholder

The Board of Lookers plc ('Lookers' or 'the Company') has been notified that the
family interests of Mr Tony Bramall have acquired a further 750,000 Lookers
ordinary shares of 5 pence each on 11 April 2008 at a price of 90 pence per
share.

Mr Bramall and his family interests are holders of 36,562,710 shares
representing 20.19% of the existing issued share capital of the Company. All
shares are voting shares with one vote per share.
