Lookers PLC 05 November 2003 5 November 2003 Lookers plc completes Savilles acquisition Lookers plc, a leading UK motor retail group, today announces the completion of its acquisition of Savilles Auto Village Limited (Savilles) through its Belfast-based subsidiary Charles Hurst Limited for a cash consideration of approximately £3.3m. This acquisition gives Lookers two Vauxhall outlets in Lisburn and Portadown in a geographical area where we already have a strong presence. Our objective going forward is to provide a third facility for Vauxhall in the key strategic location of Boucher Road, Belfast. Commenting, Ken Surgenor, Chief Executive said:- 'We are delighted to have been given the opportunity to represent Vauxhall in Northern Ireland. We are currently the largest retailer of Vauxhalls in the United Kingdom, and this acquisition further reinforces that position. We fully expect this profitable business to contribute positively to earnings and to add approximately £40m to annual turnover.
