                     RESIGNATION OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR


Liberty Plc ('Liberty'), the Regent Street luxury goods stores group, today
announces that Christian Viros has resigned from the Board as a Non-Executive
Director with immediate effect.


Christian has been a Liberty Board member for two years and is leaving to pursue
his private international business commitments.


Richard Balfour-Lynn, Chairman, said: 'We are sorry to see Christian leave
Liberty's Board as he has brought a wealth of international branded luxury goods
experience to the business and made a contribution to the company's move into
becoming a highly focused luxury goods business.'


Iain Renwick, Liberty's Chief Executive, said: 'It has been a pleasure to work
with Christian over the past two years and his advice has been invaluable in
helping develop Liberty's branded luxury goods. I am sure our paths will cross
in the future.'
