Internet Director Appointed

Liberty PLC 14 September 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 14th September 2007 LIBERTY APPOINTS INTERNET DIRECTOR Liberty Plc, the iconic luxury brand and West End retail emporium, today announces another senior appointment as part of its strategy to establish the business as a major global luxury brand. Guy Hipwell, 37, has been appointed Director of Internet, Supply Chain and Retail Merchandising, effective from October 2007. His principal responsibilities are to develop Liberty's e-commerce offer to reflect, in particular, growing international awareness of the Liberty of London luxury brand, streamline the Group's supply chain and assume control of the merchandising function. Guy is joining Liberty from Harrods where he contributed significantly to the development of the store's merchandising and e-commerce divisions. Most recently he was Director of Home Shopping and prior to that Controller of Merchandise Planning. For the last two years Guy has also been a member of the store's management board. Before that he was responsible for merchandising and e-commerce at Storehouse Group and Arcadia.
