                                  LIBERTY PLC:
                             CHANGE OF DIRECTORATE

Liberty Plc ('Liberty'), the AIM-listed Regent Street retail emporium, today
announces that Crispin Mardon, Finance Director, will be leaving the company to
pursue new opportunities.  He is  to be replaced by Paul Harris, who will join
the Board of Liberty as Finance Director, from mid-May.

Paul Harris has been Financial Controller of Liberty since joining in 2006.
Previously, Paul held significant financial positions at Kurt Geiger and
Selfridges & Co. He does not hold, nor has he held, any directorships over the
past five years.

Geoffroy de La Bourdonnaye, Liberty's Chief Executive, said: 'We would like to
thank Crispin for his effort and contribution over the last three years in
moving the business forward. I would like to take this opportunity of welcoming
Paul on to the Board.'
