A new Chief Executive has been identified and negotiations are at an advanced stage. Liberty will be making a further announcement shortly. Iain Renwick has been running the retail group for the past four and half years and has overseen Liberty's transformation from heavy losses into near break-even and made the store, once more, a retail destination centre noted for its cutting edge design. During his stewardship the Company successfully launched its Liberty of London luxury brand. Richard Balfour-Lynn, Executive Chairman of Liberty, said: 'Iain has made a major contribution to the current success of Liberty's retail business and has created a fantastic team of senior executives.
